Makuba – the First Foundation Sire of the NASPR in the United States
Makuba (Maior Domus/Gigi) has truly earned the award as being the first Foundation Sire of the NorthAmerican Sportpony Registry! Klaus Biesenthal of Bell Oaks Farm, Freeport – IL, is his proud owner and breeder. He imported the young stallion from Germany in 1990.
So far the impressive Sportpony Stallion has produced well over 100 first premium foals. His offspring is highly sought after. Conformation, appearance, and temperament combined with great motivation: ‘Yes, this is a Makuba’!
Many of his offspring perform as successfully as their Sire. Some of them excel in particular in the dressage and driving disciplines. Take Makuba’s son Markus (a NASPR licensed Sportpony stallion) who qualified for the FEI Driving Pony Championships that are taking place on the last October weekend in France. Good luck!
